ZULI

Ahmed El Ghazoly a.k.a. ZULI is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and sound artist from Cairo. He is a co-founder of Kairo is Koming (KIK), a collective that played an important role in the rise of city’s underground electronic music scene. With Asem Tag ($$$TAG$$$), ZULI co-headed Cairo’s alternative music venue and club, VENT, before transforming their project into a namesake club night and festival. ZULI released his debut EP, Bionic Ahmed, with Lee Gamble’s UIQ label, following up with Numbers and Trigger Finger for Haunter Records. His upcoming release for UIQ, Terminal, moves away from the dancefloor towards more melodic, ambient listening territories.
