Getting around Amsterdam

By foot
Walking distances to the festival’s venues vary. From Amsterdam Centraal station, it takes a ten-minute walk to reach Muziekgebouw aan t IJ and De Brakke Grond, and a fifteen-minute walk to Arti et Amicitiae. Reaching Paradiso and Stedelijk Museum takes about half an hour by foot.

By bike
The most efficient way of transportation is by bike, like the locals. Information about bike rental companies can be found here.

Public transport
For travelling by public transportation you can buy an OV-chip card at Central Station. With this card you must check in and check out when boarding or disembarking from a tram, bus, or metro. You can also purchase a disposable card for one hour (€3,20), for a single day (€8) or for multiple days (3 days for €19). For all information on public transport in Amsterdam visit the GVB website, have a look the NS website or use this door-to-door travel planner (both in English).
