André Castro
André Castro is a media artist with a background in sound art and experimental music, and a practice at the intersection of art, technology and education. His work and research are focused on online archives, hybrid publishing, underground digital libraries and the intersection between technology and design processes. He works as a tutor at Rotterdam-based Piet Zwart Institute and the Willem de Kooning Academy. He often collaborates with artists and designers on the development custom infrastructures for installations and publications. He completed the master’s program of Media Design and Communication at the Piet Zwart Institute, and graduated in 2007 from the Sonic Arts BA program at Middlesex University.
